Our Story

Food Truth,
Restored.

Provenance Verified. Community Protected.

ProvenáTrace was built on a single conviction: that every person deserves to know exactly what they are eating, where it came from, and whether it is safe. This is not a technology story. It is a human one.

Three Philosophies. One Platform.

ProvenáTrace was built on wisdom that pre-dates the internet by centuries.

Kintsugi

金継ぎ

When something breaks, we rebuild it with gold — making it more beautiful than before.

Our global food system is broken. Fractured by fraud, hidden ingredients, and supply chain deception that falls hardest on those with the least power to push back. ProvenáTrace is our Kintsugi — we do not hide the cracks. We trace them, name them, and fill them with transparency, building something more inclusive, more fair, and more sustainable than what existed before.

umntu ngumntu ngabantu

"I am because we are."

Food safety is not just an individual choice — it is a collective responsibility. Every scan you make, every alert you raise, every ingredient you question makes the entire community safer. When one person knows, everyone knows.

India

Lokah Samastah

लोकाः समस्ताः सुखिनो भवन्तु

May all beings everywhere live happy, healthy and free from harm.

This is not a motto. It is a design principle. Every feature in ProvenáTrace is built to ask: does this make it harder for someone, somewhere, to be harmed by what they eat? If yes, we ship it. If not, we go back to the drawing board.

The Founder
A

Ananya

Environmental Sociologist
& Founder

Ananya loves anthropology. She is an Environmental Sociologist who has spent her career studying the relationship between human communities and the natural world — and increasingly, the food systems that connect them.

She built ProvenáTrace because our global food system is broken. Fractured by fraud, hidden ingredients, and supply chain deception that harms the most vulnerable people first. Mislabelled allergens. Undisclosed palm oil. Adulterated spices. These are not edge cases — they are endemic. And they are fundamentally incompatible with a food system that is truly inclusive and fair.

As an Environmental Sociologist, Ananya understands that food justice and ecological sustainability are inseparable. A system that deceives consumers also exploits farmers, degrades land, and erodes the community trust that long-term sustainability depends on. Transparency is not just an ethical choice — it is the foundation on which a fair food system can be built and sustained.

"ProvenáTrace is my Kintsugi — rebuilding the food system with transparency, community and truth, more beautifully than it was before."

— Ananya, Founder

The platform she built does not just track ingredients. It embodies a philosophy: that supply chain visibility is an act of care, that transparency is a form of respect, and that an inclusive and fair food system — one that works for growers, communities, and consumers alike — is the only kind worth building. Every person who scans a product is contributing to that future.

Our Mission

We map complex supply chains so you can shop with absolute confidence.

Every scan you complete helps protect the entire community. Because a food system that is truly sustainable — ecologically and socially — must also be inclusive and fair. Food safety is not a feature. It is the foundation.
